Delhi police is seeking legal opinion to chargesheet Baba Ramdev.
There could be fresh trouble for yoga guru Baba Ramdev. Headlines Today has learned that Delhi Police is seeking legal opinion to file chargesheet against the yoga guru. Police are also contemplating a ban on entry of Baba Ramdev into Delhi.
Delhi Police has seized the CCTV footage from the cameras installed at the Ramlila Maidan camp by Baba Ramdev, who had been evicted from the capital while holding satyagraha over black money and corruption.
Sources told Headlines Today that the footage clearly shows that some of the speakers used provocative language from the stage - even asking the gathering to attack the police.
Police claim this will be used as evidence in court once the charge-sheet is filed.
Interestingly, the FIR lodged against Baba also names Sadhvi Rithambhara, Maulana Kalbe Jabbar and Akali leader Onkar Singh Thapar. It is alleged that they also gave provocative speeches.
Delhi Police has also made extra deployment of forces at borders and at the airport. Baba Ramdev will be taken to preventive custody in case he makes any attempts to enter Delhi.
Delhi Police is in constant touch with the ministry of Home Affairs on this issue.
A detailed income tax survey on his assets has been in progress. Ramdev allegedly runs an empire worth Rs 1,100 crore. He has also been accused of grabbing fertile farmland and is allegedly associated with over 200 businesses from broadcasting companies, including Aastha TV, to food parks. Most are run by his trusted lieutenants Acharya Balkrishna and Mukta Anand.
