Hyderabad: In Hyderabad, Chaitanya Reddy has been arrested for the murder of Kiran, his wife, who died earlier this week at their home in Jubilee Hills. Kiran’s uncle is Union Minister Jaipal Reddy.
Kiran’s family had accused her husband and his family of playing a part in her death.
Post-mortem and other reports allegedly confirm that Kiran, who was a dermatologist, was smothered. Chaitanya and she have a four-year-old daughter.
Chaitanya was drunk after the couple attended a bachelor party for Kiran’s brother on Friday night. The couple slept in different rooms after they got home. The next morning, Chaitanya rushed his wife to Apollo Hospital after he allegedly found her unconscious. Doctors declared her dead on arrival.
