Mumbai police Monday released the sketch of one of the four suspects in the murder of senior Mid Day journalist Jyotirmoy Dey, an official said here.
According to police, the suspect is 20-25 years old, dark complexioned, of medium built and around 5 feet 5 inches tall.
Crime Branch officials said that the sketch was prepared with the help of witnesses.
Over 500 journalists assembled at the Press Club and marched to Mantralaya — the state government headquarters — two km away.
The journalists met Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, who rejected their demand for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into Dey’s killing.
Dey was shot dead by four unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants as he was going on his motorcycle near his residence in Powai Saturday afternoon. The cold blooded killing sent shock waves through the media circles in the city and the country.
